Ads Rules

What are the things you cannot write and do when it comes to your ad copy?

  • You can’t write anything offensive such as cursing, insulting or insinuating, weapon, gambling, alcohol, smoking, pornography, etc.
  • You can’t write your headlines or descriptions in all capital letters. You can only use big first letters.
  • You can’t add extra spaces in your ad copies.
  • You are not allowed to have non-specific call-to-actions (CTA’s). Example: If you have a ‘click here’ CTA but then you didn’t specify what clicking there means, Google won’t be approving your ad. So you should tell them where the call to action is going to lead or what it's going to do.
  • You can’t use any symbols, smileys, weird signs or asterisks.
  • You can’t use exclamations in your headline but you can use one (max) exclamation in your description.
  • You can’t use any form of repetition. Example: If you have a discount you can’t write ‘50 percent off 50 percent off 50 percent off’ or ‘Black Friday Sale. Get it now. Get it now.’
  • You cannot add in phone numbers in the headline or description.
⚠️ Read the Google Ads Policies especially the Editorial and Technical part. If you break these rules many times they are going to ban you.⚠️
